SEPTEMBER 08

EXAM SUCCESS & UNIVERSITY BOUND – STUDENTS AT BRITANNIA SCHOOL ENJOY THEIR MOMENTS OF SUCCESS!

With all the exam results now out, students at Britannia School are celebrating another bumper round of excellent grades.  Starting at the top of the school, once again, the A level students have excelled in Spanish, Travel and Tourism, and Business Studies, with high grade passes.  This means that all of the students who applied for University have secured their places on undergraduate courses, most of whom are headed for the UK and new opportunities.

Good luck to all of them who are shortly leaving for England, especially to Chandni (Brunel University) Sian (Kingston University), Chetna (Surrey University) and Anisha (Royal Holloway), all of whom are continuing their business careers.  Good luck too goes to Laura (Portsmouth) to further her studies in Spanish and Latin American studies.  Congratulations to their teachers, for their hard work and dedication.

At IGCSE special mention should be made for the 100% pass rate at grades A-C, in the higher level examination.   Hats off to James Smith, who passed the Higher Tier Mathematics with a Grade A – a fantastic achievement, considering he has taken the examination 2 years early!  Well done.

Let’s not forget the Vocational side of the exam passes – all of the Britannia Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy students passed their courses with flying colours.  In Hairdressing. All students passed with either credits or distinctions, reflecting the dedication of the teaching staff to excellence, and the determination and focus of the students who completed the course.
